Extension Dock ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Local Data (stored on your device only)

Dock configuration: Your bar positions, slot assignments, and preferences
Extension list: Names and IDs of your installed extensions (used to display icons)

Cloud Data (if you sign in with Google)

Google account info: Email, name, and profile picture (for identification)
Dock configuration: Synced to Firebase for cross-device access

Purchase Data (if you upgrade)

Email address: To deliver license keys and receipts
Payment info: Processed by Stripe (we never see your card details)

Data We Do NOT Collect

Browsing history or page content
Passwords or sensitive credentials
Personal files or documents
Keystrokes or form inputs

How We Use Your Data

To provide the core extension functionality
To sync your settings across devices (if signed in)
To validate purchases and deliver license keys
To respond to support requests

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

Firebase (Google): For cloud sync and authentication
Stripe: For payment processing
Legal requirements: If required by law

Data Security

Your data is protected using industry-standard encryption. Cloud data is stored in Firebase with Google's security infrastructure. Local data is stored in Chrome's secure storage API.

Your Rights

Access: View your data in the extension popup
Delete: Sign out to remove cloud data; uninstall to remove local data
Export: Contact us for a copy of your data
Opt-out: Use the extension without signing in (local-only mode)

Children's Privacy

Extension Dock is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the extension or on this page.
